Can One Increase Reading Speed Of Literary Material?
I want to (in fact, need to) increase my reading speed of literary work such as the novels of Jane Austen. Is there a method to do so wherein you read every word, and absorb both the stylistic elements and ‘informational’ ones other than using common sense like finding a quiet place to read, decrease distractions, and the like. I know how standard speed reading programs work, but the appear to be oriented to the quicker processing and amassing of information–which is a different type of reading of a different form of writing.
Reading a lot of books constantly, it helps immensely to speed read. I once read ten books in a week because it was so easy.
