Why Reading Is Important

Reading Rainbow is one of the longest running and best loved children’s series on PBS. Reading Rainbow is designed to inspire a love of reading and build lasting connections between children and books. As a half hour magazine-style series, Reading Rainbow mixes live action, music and illustrations. Reading Rainbows’ target audience is children 4-8 years old.
