Reading..!!?
I’ve taken a new liking into reading. So far I’ve read a book called The Fellowship..it’s pretty good its about vampires, also I’m ready Bledding Sorrow..It’s boring but keeps me guessing what’s gonna happen next so I guess it’s not boring after all. Anyways..My dad got me some Steven King Books (needfull things) (thinner) ..are any of those good? And how can I go about getting some more books?
i have to agree with Snork in reading Anne Rice if you enjoy vampire books. Her books are much better then the movies! (but then that is usually the case).
Stephen King is usually a good read.
I would suggest Edgar Allen Poe (has lots of short writings), but there are so many good books out there for every interest.
first place to look for books is of course your local library, if they don’t have something you are looking for they can help you find it.http://www.gutenberg.org is although limited in content a good site for searching books to read online or download and it’s free.
if you’re into the supernatural (mixed with a little romance), try looking up the author L.J. Smith. specifically, her series called “The Vampire Diaries”
another good series is “Ravenloft”, specifically “I, Strahd: Memoirs of a Vampire” and it’s sequel “I, Strahd: The War Against Azalin” both by P.N. Elrod
Thinner is great. If the movie will freak you the BOOK is sure to bring you to your seats end!! Anything with Steven King is sure to be good, as well as Ann Rice. I enjoy horror I joined the Rhapsody book club. You should too!!
you should read Tolkien books (Lord of the Rings, the hobbit, Simarillon, etc), Harry potter, and Eragon and Eldest.
They don’t have vampires, but they’re pretty awesome.
Getting more books, um duh. try a bookstore. if you just want to look up some books go to amazon and you can find lots of books there. Barnes and Noble is like THE best bookstore in world. Look there.
i’m not much into horror myself, but i’ve lately been really into classics. They’re called ‘classic’ because they are and have been freakin awesome since they were written!! I just finished The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas (also wrote the trilogy behind the Three Musketteers/The Man in the Iron Mask) it was amazing-not as climactic as the most recent movie-but it’s kinda like Harry Potter-the books and movies really cant be compared because they’re both so good in different aspects.
Other classics: Portrait of a Lady, The Scarlet Letter, Don Quixote, Pride and Prejudice,
the list goes on and on. If you like the vampire thing, try reading some of Anne Rice’s stuff or The Historian (i think that’s what it’s called). other horror things: Frankenstein by Mary Shelley and there’s another book, i forget the name, but it’s the story from the point of view of the bride of Frankenstein.
good luck hun. you’re gonna get a helluva list from Y/A.
If you like Vampires then you can’t go wrong with the Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles. Interview with a Vampire, Vampire Lestat, and The Queen of the Damned. Great series of books.
